JEC Book III Unit 2 Lesson 5

一.教材分析

(一)   教学内容分析

本课通过第一部分有关“冲浪”这一水上运动的对话,引出本单元的话题。语法项目方面,对话中使用了现在完成时的几种问答形式,并初步显示出其与过去时的不同。教师要求学生在听读对话的基础上,根据自己的亲身经历,围绕话题,进一步训练现在完成时的语法结构和在特定话题中的应用。现在完成时这一时态在第一单元学生学习了现在完成时的构成形式,本单元侧重介绍现在完成时态表示过去发生或已经完成的某一动作对现在造成或产生的影响或结果这一特点。本课主要介绍了have been to 的用法。本课的第二部分是结构巩固练习,本练习可以根据学生的情况进行机械操练和有意义的操练。

(二) 教学重点和难点

1.  教学重点

(1)   现在完成时have been to的用法

(2)   对话的理解和有关句式的应用 Have you ever been to…? Has anybody done…before? Would you like to have a try? What’s the surfing like? How long have you been…?

(3)   一些有用的词汇和短语:surf, surfing, surfer, know how to (surf)

(4)   常和完成时连用的时间状语:ever, before, never, already, once, twice, several times

2.  教学难点

(1)   have been to的含义和用法

(2)   如何创设情景设计话题,使语法项目在交际活动和完成任务中得到熟练掌握。

二.教学准备

1)录音机和录音带或和对话配套的光盘

2)书中出现的地方的幻灯图片,可以适当多几个有海滩风光的地方.

3)调查表(见附表)

 

三.学情分析

1.学生通过第一单元的学习,已初步了解了现在完成式的基本特征和结构。但是对于have been to所表示的"去过某地"和have been in someplace since….所表示的自从一直在某地的含义比较难以理解。

  2.第一部分的对话和第二部分的结构巩固练习都谈到了一些和水上运动有关的动作,也涉及到一些比较有名的地方。 水上运动容易引起学生的兴趣,不同地方的风景图片能吸引学生的注意力,有利于教师组织课堂教学,开展听说读写的活动

. 教学原则

1.运用任务型教学途径, 培养学生综合运用语言的能力。

2.利用多媒体的教学手段, 提高课堂教学效果。

3.循序渐进,结构巩固练习和对话操练由简到繁,由易到难,尊重存在的差异,使有困难的学生和有能力的学习都能得到收获和提高。

 

五.教学目标

(一)   知识技能

1.学习和掌握现在完成时结构和用法,尤其是have been to的含义和用法。

2.学习和掌握surf, surfing, surfer, wave, beach, have a try, twice, none等词汇have been to, have been…since…等句型及Have you ever been to…? Has anybody done…before? Would you like to have a try? What’s the surfing like? How long have you been…?等交际功能用语。

3.充分理解对话内容,进一步培养学生听说读写的能力

4.培养学生实际创造性运用语言的能力.

(二)   情感态度

1.  在对话访谈中能积极与他人合作,相互帮助,共同完成学习任务。

2.  保持和提高学习英语的兴趣,乐于用英语表达自己的经历和观点。

3.  通过展示祖国和世界各地图片,对国家和世界各地加强了解。

4.  鼓励学生热爱运动,勇于尝试。

(三)   学习策略

1.  认真做好预习工作,善于思考,寻找语言规律并能举一反三。

2.  善于抓住与他人合作,用英语交谈的机会。

3.  能初步利用词典因特网等学习资源了解第二部分所列的世界名胜地。

(四)   文化意识

    1.在谈论去过的地方时, 通过图片了解和感受一下祖国世界适宜进行水上运动拥有著名海滩风光的名胜地。

2.初步了解surfing这种运动的相关内容。

 

六.评价方式

1)对学生在课堂活动中的态度和语言表达及时做出正面鼓励和评价,适当纠正语言表达中的错误.

2)课后发课堂活动评价表,得到学生的反馈

七.教学步骤

 I. Revision and introduction 复习和导入

 通过现在完成时的各种联系学生情况的问句来复习have/has done并借此引出have/has been to及书中第二部分将要出现的和现在完成时连用的时间状语等.问句例子如下:

Have you ever lost a library book?

Have you ever found a book?

Have you read the famous novel called Harry Potter?

How many times have you read it? (呈现单词once, twice

Have you ever made dumplings? Do you know how to make them?

Life is busy on weekdays. How long have you been in this school? Is you father at work now? How long is he been at work? ( 呈现How long have you /has he been (in Sydney)?句式.多问几个学生类似问题,使学生对于句子含义有初步的领会,知道这句表达的含义是: I came to Sydney some time ago and I am still here in Sydney).

Luckily we have holidays and we can enjoy ourselves during the holiday. Where do you often go for your holiday?

Have you ever been to a foreign country?

Have you ever been to a city near the sea? (呈现have/has been to)

What about your mother/father? Has she/he been to….?

List some famous cities/places near the sea.

What can we see at the seaside? (呈现单词beach, wave

What can we do in the sea?(呈现单词surf, water-ski, canoe, dive, swim, etc

Do you know how to surf/water-ski/ canoe/dive…..?

Have you learned…? Would you like to have a try? (呈现交际功能用语)

 

II. Conversation

1Ted and Bruce are on holiday in Sydney and they are talking at the beach. Listen to their talk and try to get the information from it.(放录音磁带,有条件的话可以播放同教材配套的光盘,使学生注意力更集中,增强视觉效果,聆听真实情景的谈话.) ()完后请学生叙述所得到的任何有关的信息.老师可以先做一个例子,如:What can you get from the talk? For example, Bruce arrived earlier than Ted. 鼓励学生用自己的话转述,也允许直接从书里引用.注意人称的变化.教师可以适当提醒,使学生能尽量多地把和对话内容有关的信息表达出来,借此对对话内容有个梳理的过程.并同时通过学生的回答引出或再次重复新单词surfing, surfer, have a try, surf, wave, beach等以及有关have/has donehave/has been to等的句子.

学生可能说到的信息:

Bruce has been in Sydney since last Wednesday.

Ted arrived 2 days later than Bruce.

Bruce has come to Sydney to see his father.

Bruce has an uncle. His uncle can surf very well.

Ted has never been to Hawaii, but Bruce has.

Bruce can surf, but Ted can’t.

Ted wants to surf, but he doesn’t know how to surf等等.

2)再放一遍录音或光盘录像,要求学生轻声跟读。根据学生实际程度,如果在前面他们没有提到“适宜进行surfing的条件”的信息,可在这里要求学生进行听(看)录音(像)前思考:Listen to the conversation again, where do people surf and how can they have good surfing?

听完后学生可能回答的内容:

People surf in the sea and for good surfing there must be big waves.

更多问题及学生可能的答句:

  THow is the surfing in the conversation?

S:Good, because the waves are great.

T:Which does Bruce think is a better place for surfing, Hawaii or Sydney? Why?

S:Hawaii, because the beaches are nicer than those in Sydney and the waves there are the highest/biggest in the world.

3)Read and act (给学生1-2分钟时间准备,允许和鼓励学生运用自己的语言<in their own words>,适当改变或扩展对话而不是背课文.)

4) 通过采访,运用交际功能用语.

假设Bruce的叔叔运动完了后上岸, Ted有和他交谈的机会,设计4-5个你想向他了解的问题,其中至少1-2个包含have done/ been,然后找搭档准备.Teacher: Now Bruce’s uncle has come back and Ted wants to know something about him and surfing. List some interview questions and find a partner as Bruce’s uncle to have an interview. (给学生约2分钟时间准备后请他们呈现自己的会谈.)

 

III. Survey

1)      根据事实情况问答-

T: Have you ever been to Sydney? Hawaii?  S: …

T: (If the answer is “yes”) When did you go there? How was it? How many times have you been there? What sports can we do? ect.  What about these places? Do you know where they are?

2)      (If the answer is “no”) So nobody has been there. None of us has been to Hawaii. Then what about these places? Do you know where they are?  What sports can we do?  List several water-sports: surfing, diving, canoeing, swimming, water-skiing, ect.

借助多媒体幻灯图片,通过师生之间或同桌之间简单的问答来呈现课文第二部分的句式,并对新单词再次强化.同时了解这些地方的地理位置及特点,Bondi Beach, Cape town, Newquay, Hawaiid等这几个不熟悉的地方可以稍做介绍(Bondi Beach is one of Australia’s most famous beaches. It’s

in east Sydney and is about 1 kilometers longCape Town is in South Africa and it has several beaches that are good for both beginners and advanced surfers. Newquay is the beach in England and there are many surfing schools along the beach where you can learn how to surf. ect.) 而对国内的Qingda, Dalian, Beidaihai, Sanya等这几个地方相对同学会很熟悉,去过的人也会比较多,很容易做简单的问答练习,并练习Have you (surfed) before?句式.

3) Group work—survey 通过调查作出报告.

Make a group of 4 or 5 to do a survey. Students can list their other places

and water sports they like. Give them the survey forms and write names.

(这里需要有不少于3分钟的时间来准备.学生可以离开座位.)

 

Ask the students to tell the result to the whole class. 要求学生能用简洁的语言来述说调查结果.Possible result: In our group, Student A has been to Qingdao and he has dived before. Nobody has been to Cape Town and we all would like to go…如果学生汇报有困难,教师可以用问题适当提醒.

 

IV. Plan-making (信息共享并讨论然后选择合适的人决定合适的地方度假)

What kind of place would you like to go for holiday?

Share the results of your survey and then find several students to go to one of the places for holiday. Tell the class why you choose these students to go together. Write down the reasons

3)可在课后适当增加一些动词时态的填空练习来帮助学生搞清楚现在完成时和一般过去时的基本概念和区别
